A Milestone Project
The Kudafushi Island project was a defining moment for GTS. For the first time, the company was entrusted with a complete turnkey scope covering both kitchen and laundry — every piece of equipment from combi ovens and food preparation stations to industrial washers and dryers, all supplied, installed and commissioned by the GTS team.
The Challenge: Speed and Scale
ABN Resort needed their Kudafushi Island property ready for guests on an aggressive timeline. The complete kitchen and laundry package had to be delivered, installed and operational in under one month. This required:
- Rapid procurement across multiple equipment categories and international suppliers
- Coordinated sea logistics to deliver everything to the island within a narrow window
- Parallel installation tracks — kitchen and laundry teams working simultaneously
- Compressed commissioning and testing schedules
- Staff training delivered alongside final equipment sign-off
What We Delivered
The kitchen installation encompassed a full commercial kitchen setup — cooking stations, food preparation equipment, cold storage, bakery equipment and all supporting utilities. The laundry installation included industrial washing, drying and finishing equipment sized for the resort's capacity.
Both installations were completed in parallel, with GTS coordinating across equipment categories to avoid conflicts in power, plumbing and space allocation.
Completing a full kitchen and laundry turnkey in under one month proved that GTS had the project management capability, supplier relationships and technical depth to handle scope well beyond single-category installations.
What This Proved
The Kudafushi Island project established GTS as a credible turnkey partner — not just an equipment supplier. The ability to manage multiple equipment categories, coordinate complex logistics and deliver under tight timelines opened the door to larger, more ambitious projects.
For clients evaluating whether to split a project across multiple vendors or consolidate with one partner, the Kudafushi experience demonstrated that single-source delivery reduces risk, simplifies coordination and accelerates timelines.
